One of Jane Austen‘s most popular novels is getting another movie adaptation, with the first casting revealed. Many of the author’s most popular works have been adapted for the screen several times. Pride and Prejudice, for instance, has been adapted into the 1995 BBC series starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth and the 2005 film starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen.

Pride and Prejudice is also being adapted into an upcoming Netflix series starring Emma Corin, Jack Lowden, and Olivia Colman. Jane Austen’s novel Emma has also been adapted multiple times, including the 1996 version starring Gwyneth Paltrow and the 2020 version starring Anya Taylor-Joy. Now, another one of her novels will be receiving a second film adaptation.

Focus Features and Working тιтle Films have announced that a new Sense and Sensibility movie is in the works, with Daisy Edgar-Jones starring as Elinor Dashwood. Georgia Oakley will direct from a script written by Diana Reid.
