The Film Should Be Available To Stream In Around Three Months
As a Universal Pictures release, M3GAN 2.0 will eventually be available to stream on Peacock once its theatrical run is over. The service has housed the majority of Universal’s releases since its conception in 2019, and typically has a very quick turnaround when it comes to new releases. In 2024, the average number of days between a film’s theatrical release and its arrival on Peacock was just 90 – and this is typically made even shorter for horror movies, as seen with Speak No Evil and Nosferatu.
Since M3GAN was such an undeniable hit that’s thrived on streaming, it seems logical for Universal to make the sequel available as soon as possible. Audiences should expect M3GAN 2.0 to land on Peacock in mid-September, roughly three months after its theatrical release. However, if the movie performs exceptionally well at the box office, Universal may decide to keep it in cinemas for a while longer, subsequently delaying its streaming release. 2024 box office hits like Twisters and Despicable Me 4 had a longer wait, but they also belong to very different genres.
