There Are Ways To Expand On The Original

While the story of Ready or Not 2: Here I Come is unknown, the fact that Weaving is teasing that the 2026 horror sequel is even bigger means that it will probably explore the overall universe of the franchise more thoroughly. This is eminently doable, as the original movie took place almost entirely within the confines of a single mansion and on its grounds. It also explored one single family’s relationship to their supernatural patron Le Bail, who is responsible for their wealth and success but demands sacrifice.

However, due to the fact that the original Samara Weaving horror movie ended with the Le Domas family being destroyed, seemingly in its entirety, it seems highly likely that the sequel will have to introduce new followers of Le Bail. If the sequel features another game of hide-and-seek, its location will probably also be limited. However, by bringing in more characters involved in the ᴅᴇᴀᴅly game, the movie will necessarily expand the lore around Le Bail and how far the enтιтy’s influence spreads.
