Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse Gets First Update From Miles Morales Star Since Movie’s New Release Date Was Confirmed

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse gets its first update from Marvel star Shameik Moore since the movie’s new release date was announced. More than two years since Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse‘s ending, Sony is finally getting closer to finishing the Miles Morales trilogy, as Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is currently in production. Following the confirmation that Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’s release date has been set for 2027, Marvel fans may finally be getting close to learning more clues about the trilogy finale.

During a recent interview with entertainment creator Liam Saul, Moore was asked if there was anything he could share about Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, as the cast has been recording their lines for the 2027 installment. In true Marvel fashion, Moore had to keep it cryptic, stating the following about Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse:

Shameik Moore: I will be in it! That’s all I can say!

Liam Saui: He will be in it, twice!

Shameik Moore: Three times!

What Shameik Moore’s Comments Mean For Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse

Moore’s comments about Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse have been interpreted by some to tease the idea that he is playing three versions of Miles in the upcoming Spider-Verse finale. While – given the nature of the Spider-Verse movies – it would be not too shocking if Moore did get to portray more versions of the web-crawler, it also appears that Moore may simply be referencing the fact this is the third movie in the trilogy, and thus means he’s gotten to play Morales in three separate installments, including his upcoming role in the Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse story.

Shameik Moore being relatively brief in his comments about the movie also underline just how much of it is still under wraps, even two years after Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse‘s release. With Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse releasing in 2027, it seems updates on the next Spider-Verse movie may remain this way for the foreseeable future, unless plans emerge to create a more long-term building of hype for the third film in response to its release being pushed back further.

Our Take On Shameik Moore’s Spider-Verse Comments

Miles Morales In Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse reaching out

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is still a much-anticipated superhero movie, but there’s a real chance that those involved in the film will only be able to provide updates that don’t give away too much information about the next chapter of the series for some time now that the release is set for a 2027 release. That said, it will be exciting to see Miles Morales return once more in the story, and to see if there is any credence to the theory that another version of the hero may also appear. Hopefully, as 2025 goes forward, more updates on Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will emerge sooner rather than later.
