James Gunn’s Man Of Steel Fully Unleashes His Heat Vision Power In New Superman Trailer

A new Superman movie trailer has been released, giving a better look at the Man of Steel’s power set and Lex Luthor’s plans in the DC Universe installment. After years of waiting for a new cinematic adventure for Krypton’s last son, the wait is almost over as David Corenswet’s Superman film, from director James Gunn, is exactly one month out from its theatrical release. With the Superman film set to be a huge foundation for the DCU’s Chapter 1: “God and Monsters,” it is one of the most highly anticipated films of 2025, especially for the superhero genre.

With Superman tickets officially on sale, DC Studios shared a new trailer for Gunn’s upcoming DCU movie. The footage not only goes deeper into the war between Superman and Lex, but demonstrates more about the DCU’s take on the Superman mythology. Check it out below:

According to Fandango, ticket sales for the Superman early access screening for Amazon Prime members have become their “best first-day ticket pre-seller” for 2025. Audience members who were able to land tickets for the Superman early screening through Amazon Prime will be able to catch the film on July 8 in select theaters.

What The Superman Trailer Means For The DCU Movie

With this trailer likely being the final major one for Gunn’s Superman movie ahead of the film’s release, there are a lot of elements that get to shine in the latest footage while showcasing more of how the DCU take on the Man of Tomorrow will be executed. One of the biggest aspects is seeing more of Corenswet’s Superman in action, as the new trailer gives a first look at Clark Kent’s heat vision with him taking on an entire army. The Superman footage also reveals more about how flight sequences will be handled, from Corenswet’s тιтular hero dealing with various threats such as the Kaiju while also seeing him strangled at one point.

The Superman trailer gives a better exploration of the larger story, particularly Lex’s obsession with wanting to take down the Kryptonian hero. Apart from his conflict with Lex, the latest trailer also explores how Clark is not necessarily at the best odds with some of the other DCU heroes who are part of the Superman movie cast, with Clark and Nathan Fillion’s Guy Gardner sharing an intense moment. But it’s not just Superman getting involved in the action, as Lois Lane is seen flying Mister Terrific’s ship with Perry White and Jimmy Olsen sitting behind her.

Even though they have been showing a lot of crucial layers of the film, there is still so much that remains a surprise about Superman. With only a month to go, a new era for the Man of Steel is about to arrive as Superman hits theaters this summer.
