Where To Watch The Life Of Chuck: Showtimes & Streaming Status

While his books have been adapted for the screen for years now, 2025 is a notable era for Stephen King adaptations. The year kicked off early in February, with the release of the Osgood Perkins-directed film The Monkey. This movie did fairly well during its run, receiving largely positive reviews and making over $68 million in theaters. This year will also see the release of The Long Walk, a highly anticipated adaptation of the first novel that the now-famous writer ever penned. On the TV side, It: Welcome to Derry is also scheduled.

But the latest of the King adaptations is The Life of Chuck. Unlike a lot of King’s oeuvre, this one is not a horror, but instead a genre-bending sci-fi fantasy drama that tells the story of the life of a man named Charles Krantz. The movie is directed by King frequenter Mike Flanagan and features a leading cast including Tom Hiddleston, Jacob Tremblay, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Mia Sara, Mark Hamill, David Dastmalchian, and Harvey Guillén. Here is everything to know about the showtimes and streaming information for The Life of Chuck.

When Will The Life Of Chuck Release On Streaming?

It Could Take A While

The Life of Chuck took some time to secure a theatrical release date and will be focusing on its theatrical run first. When the movie eventually does hit streaming, it will do so on Hulu. Hulu and Neon signed a deal back in 2017 that stipulated that the streamer has the rights to Neon’s films and additional productions after their theatrical releases. Neon has been attached to some high-caliber movies in recent years, including the Best Picture winner Anora, thus giving Hulu some quality тιтles.

Based on past data, it might be several months until The Life of Chuck hits streaming. Neon-produced films have tended to hit Hulu an average of 153 days (or about 5 months) after their theatrical release dates, according to the last three years of data points. 2023’s Infinity Pool was released in theaters on January 27 but did not hit streaming until June 23. This year’s Presence took 130 days, coming out in theaters on January 24 and set for streaming release on June 3. If The Life of Chuck follows this pattern, it will likely stream on Hulu around November.

This Will Be The First Way For Audiences To Watch This Film

Though Neon films have tended to take a while to come to Hulu after releasing theatrically, their digital release dates happened a lot sooner. Presence is a good example, as it took only 32 days to hit digital despite taking 130 days for streaming. Likewise, Cuckoo also took the whole 130 days to release on streaming but went to digital after only 39 days. As such, The Life of Chuck will likely come to digital in July. Because of the variable past averages, it might arrive towards the end of July, or possibly the beginning of August.
