Fantastic Four: First Steps Magazine Cover Reveals Much Larger Galactus Who’s Actually Big Enough To Eat A Planet

As Galactus gets ready for his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut, a new magazine cover for The Fantastic Four: First Steps gives a fresh look at the iconic villain. The MCU is gearing up to launch Phase 6, and The Multiverse Saga will finally introduce Marvel’s First Family to the franchise through The Fantastic Four: First Steps movie. As the beloved heroes are being rebooted for the big screen, one of their most iconic villains will also be entering the MCU, with Ralph Ineson set to portray Galactus.

One of the new Empire Magazine covers for The Fantastic Four: First Steps features Galactus in a much larger form, while Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer is also highlighted on the cover. The second Empire Magazine cover sees the four leading heroes of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, with Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn as Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Thing, and Human Torch, respectively. Check out both of the covers below:

What The Fantastic Four: First Steps Galactus Magazine Cover Means

For non-comic book readers who are seeing The Fantastic Four: First Steps covers, it might raise some questions about whether the Marvel foe can change his size. In the Marvel Comics canon, Galactus has always been able to alter his size, going from being bigger than a whole planet to being as tall as a regular human. With The Fantastic Four: First Steps being more accurate to the comics than the previous Fantastic Four movies, Galactus’ altering size is seemingly one of the things that will honor his comic book counterpart.

While they are highlighting his size on the Empire Magazine cover, it shouldn’t come as a shock that The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Galactus will actually see him in a much larger form throughout the movie when it releases in July. The Fantastic Four: First Steps trailers have already shown Galactus not only walking and stomping his way through a city, but also towering over it, meaning this is definitely not just for promotional purposes. Even if it hasn’t been seen in The Fantastic Four: First Steps trailers yet, it would be more surprising if there isn’t at least one scene where Galactus is much bigger than Earth.

Our Take On The Fantastic Four: First Steps Galactus Magazine Cover

Galactus standing tall in Marvel Comics' Cataclysm

While Marvel is definitely still limiting how much they are showing Galactus through The Fantastic Four: First Steps marketing, if the cover is a taste of what is to come from the actual MCU film, the villain will be one of the biggest accomplishments for this reboot. With Galactus being a formidable foe in the Marvel universe, the MCU has to honor just how incredibly powerful he is, and that includes his mᴀssive size. As The Fantastic Four: First Steps is less than two months away from opening in theaters, audiences will soon get to witness Galactus’ proper cinematic depiction.
