What Sinners’ Digital & Blu-Ray Release Dates Mean For The Movie

One Of The Best Films Of The Year Is Coming To Home Media

With Sinners‘ digital and Blu-ray release dates announced, one of the best movies of 2025 so far, and one of the biggest box office sensations of the year, will be coming to home media. Sinners‘ reviews have been stellar, earning a 97% Rotten Tomatoes score, with critics calling it a thrilling blend of stunning visual storytelling and infectious music that showcases the depth and originality of Ryan Coogler’s unique creative vision. Notably, Sinners is the only horror movie to ever receive an “A” CinemaScore from audiences.

Sinners‘ box office has also been remarkable, having debuted at $48 million during its opening weekend, the biggest debut for an original film since Jordan Peele’s Us in 2019. With over $338 million worldwide to date, Sinners ranks among the highest-grossing horror films of all time. Though there has been a lot of discussion about the film’s profitability due to its sizable production and marketing budgets, there is no doubt that Sinners represents a mᴀssive win for original movies at the box office.

Our Take On Sinners’ Digital & Blu-Ray Release Dates

It’s Best Experienced In IMAX

While its digital and Blu-ray releases offer convenience for home audiences, Sinners is still best experienced in IMAX, especially 70mm, the format that Ryan Coogler and company intended for the film to be seen in. In fact, if audiences act now, they could still see Sinners in theaters before it debuts on digital on June 3. Though its home release is attempting to maintain its expanded aspect ratio of 1.78:1 and 2.76:1 for certain sequences, as intended by Coogler, there’s no doubt that Sinners still looks better on a mᴀssive IMAX screen, rather than a home television.
