Ballerina’s Ana de Armas Addresses Potential John Wick 5 Return

Ballerina star Ana de Armas addresses a potential appearance in John Wick: Chapter 5. Set between the events of Chapters 3 and 4, the upcoming spinoff stars de Armas as Eve Macarro, a ballerina who begins training in the ᴅᴇᴀᴅly arts of the Ruska Roma to exact revenge against those who killed her father. Ballerina‘s cast also includes Keanu Reeves reprising his role as John Wick alongside the late Lance Reddick, Ian McShane, Gabriel Byrne, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Norman Reedus, and Anjelica Huston.

During an interview with The Direct, De Armas addressed a potential appearance in John Wick: Chapter 5. The Ballerina star expressed strong enthusiasm about potentially appearing in Chapter 5, saying she would love to be part of it and sees it as a natural fit. Read her full response below:

That would be really cool. I would love that. Why not? I mean, they already know each other, right? Like, why wouldn’t it? I would love that. That would be amazing.

What Ana De Armas’ Comments Mean For Eve’s Potential John Wick 5 Appearance

She’s Enthusiastic About The Possibility

Though a fifth film has been in the works for years, Lionsgate officially announced at CinemaCon 2025 that John Wick: Chapter 5 is officially in development with director Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves returning, despite his тιтular character seemingly dying during John Wick: Chapter 4‘s ending. Though plot details remain under wraps, John Wick is seemingly still alive, and based on Ana de Armas’ comments, Eve will seemingly survive the events of Ballerina, raising the possibility of a reunion in Chapter 5.

Ballerina trailers have confirmed that John Wick will appear and engage in direct combat with Eve. Although the exact nature of their encounter remains unknown, both characters will make it out alive. After all, John Wick returns in Chapter 4, and Keanu Reeves is confirmed to return in Chapter 5. De Armas also expressed enthusiasm about potentially appearing in Chapter 5, noting that Eve and Wick already know each other, making it plausible. While certainly not confirming anything, her response shows that she’s excited about the idea of joining the main John Wick movies beyond Ballerina.

Our Take On Ana De Armas Potentially Appearing In John Wick 5

It’s Both A Logical & Appealing Move

Including Ana de Armas in John Wick: Chapter 5 would be both a logical and appealing move for the franchise. Ballerina will lay the groundwork for Eve’s relationship with John Wick, likely beginning on tense terms. However, their initial clash could evolve into mutual respect, setting the stage for a compelling partnership that audiences could eagerly embrace. Their shared ties to the Ruska Roma and the criminal underworld could create a natural narrative overlap, with Eve’s skills positioning her as a worthy ally (or rival) in John Wick: Chapter 5.

Ballerina releases in theaters on June 6. There’s no confirmed release date for John Wick: Chapter 5 yet.
