John Wick Alums Scott Adkins & Marko Zaror Are ᴅᴇᴀᴅly Enemies In Diablo Poster [EXCLUSIVE]

After facing off against Keanu Reeves’ iconic character in its most recent installment, John Wick franchise vets Scott Adkins and Marko Zaror are now fighting each other in the first poster for Diablo. The action-thriller centers on Adkins as Kris Chaney, a man recently released from prison who takes the daughter of a Colombian gangster at the behest of her late mother. However, when the gangster enlists both the wider criminal underworld and the cold, calculated killer El Corvo, played by Zaror, the two find themselves the target of a ᴅᴇᴀᴅly manhunt.

With a few weeks remaining until the movie hits select theaters, On Demand, and digital platforms on June 13, ScreenRant is proud to exclusively debut the first official key art for Diablo. The poster offers proper close-up looks at Adkins’ Kris and Zaror’s El Corvo as they aim their guns at enemies off-camera, while also highlighting the movie hails from one of the producers of the Universal Soldier franchise, in which Adkins starred in the final installment of the sci-fi action series. Why Action Fans Should Be Excited About Diablo

There Are Multiple Major Reunions In The Film

While the John Wick: Chapter 4 reunion may initially spark interest for action genre fans, one of the bigger reunions to come from Diablo is that of director Ernesto Diaz Espinosa and Zaror, who have worked together on nearly every one of Espinosa’s directorial projects. The two first teamed together for the 2006 martial arts thriller Kiltro before going on to collaborate on the Chilean superhero film Mirageman, the 2009 revenge thriller Mandrill, the 2014 vigilante thriller Redeemer, which also starred and was produced by frequent Rian Johnson collaborator Noah Segan, and 2023’s The Fist of the Condor.

As for Adkins and Zaror, however, this also marks their fourth collaboration together, though Diablo is their first on-screen work together in eight years since 2017’s Savage Dog, in which they faced off as protagonist Martin Tillman and antagonist Jean-Pierre “The Executioner” Rastignac. In fact, their new film marks an interesting continuation of a trend in which they fight each other onscreen every 7–8 years, as their prior face-off came in Undisputed III: Redemption, where both John Wick: Chapter 4 and The Killer’s Game saw them play separate antagonists.

One of the unique firsts that Diablo offers for Adkins and Zaror is that it’s the first of their collaborations in which the latter is the fight choreographer of their film, which is sure to lead to some interesting action sequences when the two come to blows in the movie. Additionally, with the two having helped produce the film and shape its story with writer Mat Sansom and Espinosa, their deep involvement in the movie points to an exhilarating action thriller to delight genre fans.

Diablo hits select theaters, On Demand, and digital platforms on June 13.
