Street Fighter Live-Action Movie Eyes First Four Cast Members, Including Jason Momoa

Street Fighter has four stars circling the cast. The upcoming live-action movie is an adaptation of the video game franchise of the same name, which was previously adapted into a live-action movie starring Jean-Claude Van Damme in 1994. The live-action Street Fighter movie, which comes from the media company Legendary and has an unknown release date after recently being pulled from its planned position on the 2026 schedule, is set to be directed by Kitao Sakurai (Twisted Metal, Bad Trip).

Per ᴅᴇᴀᴅline, Andrew Koji, Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo, and Roman Reigns are in talks to join the cast of Street Fighter. The characters that they will be playing are unknown at the time of writing. It is also unknown what characters will be appearing in the movie in the first place, as plot details have so far been kept under wraps, as has the idenтιтy of the movie’s screenwriter. The Hollywood Reporter‘s Borys Kit later shared on X that Momoa may be playing the green-skinned Blanka. Check out Kit’s post below:

What This Means For Street Fighter

The Incoming Cast All Have Major Action тιтles Under Their Belts

Although it remains to be seen if all four stars join the cast, any of them would bring an ample amount of action experience to Street Fighter. For instance, Jason Momoa movies alone include mᴀssive action blockbusters such as Aquaman, Fast X, Dune, and Justice League. Additionally, while Noah Centineo is likely best known for Netflix romance projects such as the To All the Boys movies and The Perfect Date, he has also starred in the action-comedy series The Recruit and the DC superhero movie Black Adam (which featured an appearance by Momoa’s Justice League co-star Henry Cavill as Superman).

In Fast X, Jason Momoa played the vengeful Dante Reyes, the son of Fast Five villain Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida).

Additionally, Momoa is not even the only cast member circling the Street Fighter cast who is an alumnus of the Fast & Furious movies. Although the two stars did not appear together, Roman Reigns (who is best known as a WWE wrestler) appeared in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. Andrew Koji also played a minor role as a police officer in Fast & Furious 6, though he is better known for playing Storm Shadow in Snake Eyes, Kimura in Bullet Train, and Basho in Boy Kills World.

Our Take On The Potential Street Fighter Cast

The Movie Could Be Both High-Octane And Funny

Should all four stars ultimately join the cast of Street Fighter, they could easily provide a solid amount of texture for the new movie, especially because some are known for more serious action movies while others have proven facility with comedy as well. While the tone of the movie is still unknown, it could potentially have a solid amount of comic relief thanks to the skills already shown by stars including Centineo and Momoa (who recently played a more comic role in the 2025 smash hit A Minecraft Movie, which has so far grossed more than $900 million).
