New Predator: Killer Of Killers Trailer Highlights The Animated Movie’s Action-Packed Story & Multiple Yautjas

The latest trailer has been released for Predator: Killer of Killers. The film is an adult animated movie following three fierce warriors across human history. Despite their skills, all of them will end up becoming prey to a formidable enemy. This movie will carve a new niche in the Predator franchise by being the first animated movie in the series. It features a leading voice cast including Michael Biehn, Rick Gonzalez, Louis Ozawa, and Lindsay LaVanchy, and is set for release on Hulu on June 6. It is co-directed by Prey‘s Dan Trachtenberg alongside Joshua Wᴀssung.

Now, Hulu has released a new trailer for Predator: Killer of Killers. The trailer opens with an ominous sH๏τ of a spaceship headed directly to Earth. It establishes one of the Viking fighters early on, who fight because their “enemy still lives.” Blood is shed across multiple continents and time periods, including feudal Japan and WW2. All the groups are focused on one main goal: killing “the monster.” They face significant opposition doing so, as the trailer shows violent acts including decapitation and plane crashes. Check out the trailer below:

What This Means For Predator: Killer Of Killers

It Is Not The Only Predator Movie Releasing This Year

While the previous teaser for Killer of Killers developed the idea of these three time periods and how they would interact with the Yautjas, this trailer really tackles the idea of family. Text on screen early on reads “for family,” giving one of the reasons why people are fighting. This theme is seen most heavily in the Viking story, wherein a mother is training her son to fight. The themes in the other two time periods emphasize “power” and “freedom,” but it seems like the Japanese timeline may still have some family elements traced through it.

Meanwhile, Killer of Killers is not the only Predator movie set to be released this year. November 7 will see the theatrical release of Predator: Badlands, which will also be directed by Trachtenberg. Though Badlands will be the third movie that Trachtenberg has created for the franchise, it will be the first to be released in theaters. As such, Killer of Killers‘ Hulu release can help build the hype at home for the big theatrical release coming up just five months later.

Our Take On The Predator: Killer Of Killers Trailer

The Three Timelines Are Intriguing

A gigantic Predator roars in Predator Killer of Killers trailer

While this Predator: Killer of Killers trailer gives a better sense of how the Yautjas will appear across history, I am still left wondering how these stories will be woven together. All the trailers so far have simply intercut between the three eras in the film. It is possible that the film as a whole will do something similar, drawing parallels across time through crosscutting, but I’ll be interested to see whether the movie finds any further way to weave these disparate stories together.
