Jeremy Allen White’s Bruce Springsteen Biopic Lands Release Date

The Bear‘s Jeremy Allen White is starring in Deliver Me from Nowhere, a Bruce Springsteen biopic coming in 2025. White is one of the biggest stars to come out of the last few years of television, leading the award-winning comedy-drama The Bear, and is now gearing up to make his mark on the adjacent film industry. In addition to this seemingly Oscars-directed biopic, White is making a foray into franchise blockbusters with Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu in 2026.

But first, per ᴅᴇᴀᴅline, Deliver Me from Nowhere is confirmed to be arriving in theaters on Oct. 24, 2025. According to ᴅᴇᴀᴅline, Scott Cooper’s upcoming project “examines a transformative period in Springsteen’s life around the creation of his 1982 album Nebraska. The film examines his creative process during a time when he was grappling with fame, mental health, and complicated family dynamics.” With so many upcoming music biopics carrying on the trend that has seen an uptake in recent years, Deliver Me from Nowhere‘s release date is important to its potential success.

What This Means For Jeremy Allen White’s Deliver Me From Nowhere

Deliver Me From Nowhere Has A Moderately Compeтιтive Release Date

Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen in Deliver Me From Nowhere

With its immediate opening, Deliver Me from Nowhere will be competing against Mortal Kombat II, Yorgos Lanthimos’ Bugonia, and the Colleen Hoover book adaptation Regretting You. While it will be difficult work to capture moviegoers’ divided attention, Deliver Me from Nowhere at least stands apart from these тιтles with a different genre. White’s film’s biggest compeтιтion in 2025 overall is certainly the Michael Jackson biopic Michael, which is slated for release on Oct. 3.

The most comparable film of 2024, A Complete Unknown, saw a later holiday release, hitting theaters on Christmas Day. While there is some separation between the two 2025 music biopics, they are close enough to each other that they could be stealing legitimate viewership from one another. On the other hand, coming out later in the year is a better move for Deliver Me from Nowhere if it wants to be recognized by the Oscars.

Our Take On Deliver Me From Nowhere’s Release Date

October Is Going To Be A Wild Time For The Music Biopic Genre

Jeremy Allen White as Carm in The Bear

But while it is coming out in late 2025, it is nice that Deliver Me from Nowhere isn’t getting the most Oscars-primed spot of a November or December release, and maybe the movie can still be evaluated on its own merits instead of being sH๏τ down as Oscar bait. However, it feels like the talk of the industry in October is going to be the comparison between Jeremy Allen White and Jaafar Jackson’s performances. Regardless of one’s personal feelings about the trend of dramatizations of iconic musicians’ lives, it’s going to be hard to ignore the discourse around this time.
