Netflix’s Bilingual Action Movie With 46% RT Score Lands On Streamer’s All-Time Most-Viewed Charts After Just Two Weeks Netflix’s Bilingual Action Movie With 46% RT Score Lands On Streamer’s All-Time Most-Viewed Charts After Just Two Weeks

A bilingual action thriller climbs Netflix‘s global chart as one of the biggest non-English movies of all time in just two weeks. Following the releases of non-English movies Bullet Train Explosion, Lost Bullet, Jewel Thief – The Heist Begins, and more, the streamer has seen a few exceptional new movies claiming the top spots on its charts. For example, the freshly released Spanish romantic drama Bad Influence, which follows an ex-con’s messy romance with a wealthy heiress, has become the No. 1 most popular movie in 10 countries within a week of its release.

In the U.S., this week’s most popular movies include a few brand new тιтles, including Vince Vaughn’s highly rated comedy Nonnas, Tom Hardy’s Havoc, and the French action thriller Last Bullet. However, while those тιтles are all performing quite strongly, it’s a new German action movie that has made it onto Netflix’s all-time chart.

The German Thriller With 46% RT Score Stars Jeanne Goursaud In The Lead Role

Released on the streamer on April 30, the bilingual action movie Exterritorial sees Sara (Jeanne Goursaud), an ex-Special Forces soldier suffering from PTSD, fight to uncover a conspiracy after her son vanished from the U.S. Embᴀssy. Directed by Christian Zübert, the German thriller has a 46% Rotten Tomatoes score from more than 100 audience reviews.

According to Netflix, Exterritorial has already earned itself a place as one of the most popular non-English movies of all time. It currently sits at the 8th spot on the chart with 62.1 million views, just behind Ad Vitam, which has over 63 million views. The current chart-topper is the 2022 movie Troll, which has more than 102 million views, followed by Under Paris and Society of the Snow in second and third places, respectively.

Our Take On Exterritorial’s Streaming Success

Exterritorial’s Success Could Be Bigger

In all honesty, it is a bit surprising to see Exterritorial receive such mixed reviews from viewers. The suspenseful and action-filled movie offers a wild ride that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats, and Exterritorial‘s ending doesn’t disappoint. The German movie is easily one of the best movies to watch on Netflix right now and is one not to miss for thriller and action fans.

The fact that Exterritorial has become one of the most popular non-English movies on Netflix in two weeks speaks volumes about how well it resonates with audiences, with more than 112 million hours watched so far. It wouldn’t be a surprise if the movie surpᴀsses Ad Vitam and claims the 7th spot on the list in the coming weeks. It’s also worth noting that the movie actually has more hours watched than the French thriller, though that is also likely due to their different runtimes.
