The new Superman movie trailer finally reveals what the setup for the DCU movie is. David Corenswet’s Superman chose to intervene in a war in another country. I was already hopeful that the DCU’s Superman movie would do right by the character’s comic book persona. After having watched the new Superman movie trailer, I have no doubt that this film is everything I had hoped for. The story is about a hero who does not care about borders when all that matters is saving as many people as possible. Lex Luthor’s comment about how Superman is not even human resonates to that effect. Corenswet is pitch-perfect as both Clark and Superman, having great chemistry with Brosnahan’s Lois. Superman looks like a thrilling blockbuster that understands the hero.
