2025’s summer movie season is finally heating up, and ScreenRant is proud to present exclusive looks at 39 new and upcoming movies from May through August. Clown In A Cornfield – May 9, 2025

The Slasher Novel Comes To Life On The Big Screen

The new slasher movie Clown in a Cornfield is based on the 2020 young adult horror novel of the same name by Adam Cesare. The story goes much deeper than the тιтle implies, exploring the dangerous impact of an economic downturn on the small town of Kettle Springs, to which protagonist Quinn Maybrook (Katie Douglas) moves at the beginning of the movie.
