The Weeknd Confronts A Fiendish Jenna Ortega In Exclusive Hurry Up Tomorrow Image

This article is part of ScreenRant’s Exclusive Summer 2025 Movie Preview. Keep an eye out for the full feature next week!

ScreenRant has revealed a new image from Hurry Up Tomorrow. The upcoming film is led by Abel Tesfaye, better known by his stage name, The Weeknd. Loosely based on his own career, the psychological thriller is about an insomniac musician whose life changes when he encounters a mysterious stranger. Hurry Up Tomorrow also features Jenna Ortega, Barry Keoghan, Riley Keough, and Paul L. Davis. Trey Edward Shults directed the film, which is set for theatrical release on May 16.

As part of the 2025 Summer Movie Preview, ScreenRant can exclusively reveal a new image for Hurry Up Tomorrow. The pH๏τo still shows Tesfaye and Ortega standing in a hallway. While Ortega’s expression seems more positive, Tesfaye looks baffled, with his mouth agape. Florescent lights line the hallway behind them. Check out the image below:

What This Means For Hurry Up Tomorrow

Ortega & Tesfaye Are The Main Focus Points

This is a different setting than what has been seen in the Hurry Up Tomorrow trailers so far, which have focused on performance venues and intimate environments. The second trailer starts at a particularly intense moment, showing Ortega’s character pouring gasoline in a living room and appearing to set a house on fire. By contrast, this latest image is much more muted.

It also highlights the relationship between Tesfaye’s Abel and Ortega’s Anima. While Anima’s full character details have not been revealed, some footage has hinted that the pair will go from strangers to lovers, at least for a portion of the story. However, the conversation they are sharing in this latest image appears to be tense, based on Tesfaye’s expression. Whether this is an argument, a big reveal, or some other type of key moment has yet to be explained.

Our Take On The New Image For Hurry Up Tomorrow

This On-Screen Pairing Will Be Interesting

While there are other big-name actors in the movie, Ortega and Tesfaye are definitely at the heart of Hurry Up Tomorrow. Abel meeting Anima sets the film’s events into motion, whatever said events may come to be. Ortega is a seasoned actor at this point, and while Tesfaye has acted too, his talents have been situated more within the music industry. As such, it will be interesting to see what type of on-screen chemistry they have as Hurry Up Tomorrow hits theaters next week.
