New Prime Video Movie Has Set A Major Streaming Record Following Trailer Release

A new movie trailer on Prime Video has broken a major streaming record. In 2024, ᴅᴇᴀᴅpool & Wolverine‘s movie trailer went viral, garnering 365 million views across platforms in the first 24 hours, and became the most-viewed movie trailer of all time in the first 24 hours, surpᴀssing Spider-Man: No Way Home‘s record. Original streaming movies, which began to emerge in recent years, have been quietly making history.

Prime Video, in particular, has a lot of exciting new projects in store for 2025. Based on the true story of Anthony Robles (Jharrel Jerome), Unstoppable stars Jennifer Lopez as a devoted mother and became the most popular movie on the platform. April saw the release of G20, headlined by Oscar-winner Viola Davis as U.S. President Danielle Sutton, being targeted by attackers. This was followed by the Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick co-led sequel, Another Simple Favor, in May.

Culpa Nuestra’s Trailer Broke The Record As Most Viewed Trailer On Streaming

Its Popularity Surpᴀsses Anne Hathaway’s The Idea Of You

Culpa Nuestra, which translates to “Our Fault,” is the third and final installment of the Prime Video trilogy adapted from Mercedes Ron’s Wattpad book series. Following Culpa Mia (My Fault) and Culpa Tuya (Your Fault), the new Spanish-language film will arrive in October. Ahead of its release, Prime Video dropped its trailer in April.

Now, according to ᴅᴇᴀᴅline, with data shared by WaveMetrix, Culpa Nuestra‘s trailer has garnered 163 million views across all platforms in the week after its release, making it the most-viewed trailer for an original streaming movie. The trailer broke the record previously held by Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine’s Prime Video rom-com The Idea Of You, which had over 125 million views in 2024.

What This Means For Culpa Nuestra (Our Fault)

The Third Installment Has The Most Hype

Ron’s Culpables trilogy was a New York Times bestseller with more than three million copies sold. The movie adaptation took the franchise a step further and launched itself among Prime Video’s top 10 тιтles in more than 190 countries during its opening week. Despite not being a hit among critics, the first installment is still the streamer’s top international original movie to date, resulting in an English-language spinoff, My Fault: London.

The follow-up sequel also came as a surprise with an even bigger success and was hailed as an even better movie among viewers. It’s not a surprise that there’s a lot of hype around the upcoming release of Culpa Nuestra. As the trailer teased, Nicole Wallace and Gabriel Guevara will reprise their roles as Noah and Nick as the third movie continues following the thread of their relationship.
