Reviews for Another Simple Favor aren’t quite as high as the first film’s, with Screen Rant’s own Mae Abdulbaki giving it a score of 6 out of 10, but it is undeniably still a very surprising and thrilling movie.

In fact, the story of Another Simple Favor sets up a third movie, which suggests that the Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick-led films could form into a major series. This would be exciting, as the second movie definitely expands the scale of the series. While the first film primarily takes place in Warfield, Connecticut, Another Simple Favor sees Kendrick’s Stephanie solving a new mystery on the beautiful island of Capri, Italy. In addition to having a bolder story and more lavish setting, Another Simple Favor also doubles down on one of the grossest twists from the first movie.

Stephanie Calls Emily A “Sister F*er” After Another Simple Favor’s Charity Twist

Emily’s Other Sister Is Revealed To Be Alive In Another Simple Favor

In Another Simple Favor, Stephanie reluctantly agrees to go to Italy to be the maid of honor for Emily, who is marrying Dante, a member of the Italian mob. Dante is the reason that Emily is not in prison in Another Simple Favor, which makes the story of the sequel very interesting. Unsurprisingly, people start getting murdered during the festivities of the Italian wedding. Because of the events of the first movie, Stephanie suspects Emily of being the murderer, but this is actually not the case.

Near the end of Another Simple Favor, it is revealed that Emily’s sister, Charity, is actually still alive. While Emily killed her twin sister in the first film, it was also revealed that they were originally triplets. However, the third sister, Charity, was thought to have died during childbirth. This was an important aspect of Emily’s backstory in the first movie, but Another Simple Favor reveals that her aunt, Linda, actually stole the third sister after delivering the three babies. Therefore, Charity is actually the one who murders most of the characters in Another Simple Favor.

However, Charity doesn’t have any intentions of killing Emily, as she is actually obsessed with her. After reuniting in Another Simple Favor, Charity drugs Emily and has Sєx with her, claiming that they are one. When Stephanie finds out about this, she can’t resist calling Emily a “sister f*er,” which is a reversal of the twist that she is a “brother f*er” in the original film. Even though the intimate scene between Emily and Charity is one of the most disturbing moments in Another Simple Favor, it allows Stephanie to finally have a comeback to Emily’s constant “brother f*er” insults.

Charity Is A Twisted Villain In Another Simple Favor

In the first movie, Emily starts calling Stephanie a “brother f*er” after she admits that she started having relations with her half-brother after their father pᴀssed away. Stephanie’s relationship with her half-brother continued for many years, and it’s even suggested that he may be the real father of her son. In the sequel, Emily constantly brings this up, not letting Stephanie live it down. However, Emily’s disturbing moment with her sister in Another Simple Favor is obviously very different since it is not consensual.

Therefore, while Stephanie can’t help but call her a “sister f*er” in Another Simple Favor, it is clear that Emily goes through something very traumatic in the movie. Charity’s obsession with Emily leads to them being able to take down both her and Linda at the end of Another Simple Favor. Since Charity pretends to be Emily and agrees to go to prison, Emily gets to continue her life in Italy and Stephanie is seen raising both of their sons in Warfield at the end of Another Simple Favor.
