Robert Downey Jr, Channing Tatum, Anthony Mackie, Chris Hemsworth, Paul Rudd, Simu Liu And Winston Duke ᴀssemble To Watch Thunderbolts* In New PH๏τo

WARNING: This article includes SPOILERS from Thunderbolts*.Avengers: Doomsday cast members come together for a special Marvel Cinematic Universe pH๏τo as they celebrate the release of Thunderbolts*. While Marvel Studios is getting ready to finish The Multiverse Saga in the next few years, the MCU just concluded Phase 5 following the release of Thunderbolts*. Phase 6 will kick off this summer with The Fantastic Four: First Steps. As Thunderbolts* has opened to solid reviews, it’s not just the MCU fans and critics that are celebrating the latest installment in the franchise.

With the second Phase 6 movie in production, Simu Liu shared a new image on Instagram, where he was joined by his fellow Avengers: Doomsday co-stars, Robert Downey Jr., Channing Tatum, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Paul Rudd, and Chris Hemsworth, to watch Thunderbolts*, which is officially playing in theaters. While none of the Thunderbolts* cast members are featured in the pH๏τo, Avengers: Doomsday will feature Florence Pugh, David Harbour, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen, and Lewis Pullman as Yelena Belova, Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Bucky Barnes, John Walker, Ava Starr/Ghost, and Bob/Sentry, respectively. Principal pH๏τography on Avengers: Doomsday is currently taking place in the U.K.

What The Marvel Actors Watching Thunderbolts* PH๏τo Means

With so many MCU actors coming together to see Thunderbolts*, it’s crucial to take into account that while they are all filming Avengers: Doomsday in the U.K., they are still able to show their support for their co-stars. Given the great reception that Thunderbolts* is already receiving, including an 89% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, having major stars in the MCU also showing up for the Phase 5 installment is likely to encourage more people to catch the film on opening weekend. This was likely on their day off from filming, when Marvel Studios managed to work in a Thunderbolts* screening for various Avengers: Doomsday actors.

For some of the Avengers: Doomsday cast members, this will be the first time they have worked with many of the Thunderbolts* actors, while for some of them, it will mark a reunion. For some of the long-time MCU actors who were in the pH๏τo, they are likely also getting exposed to the Thunderbolts* characters for the first time, which is, in many ways, a good way to get familiar with the heroes before they share the screen together in Avengers: Doomsday. Given the Thunderbolts* post-credits scene, there is definitely already setup for some interactions in the 2026 installment.

Our Take On The Marvel Actors Watching Thunderbolts* PH๏τo

It’s always a joy when a big franchise like the MCU can have actors across different movies and TV shows gather together to show love for their co-stars’ latest projects, especially as Thunderbolts* has marked a milestone for Marvel Studios by getting them closer to The Multiverse Saga’s finale. That is why it will also be fun when all of these actors get together for Avengers: Doomsday. Hopefully, as Thunderbolts* gets further into its run, the film’s success will only continue to grow.
