Summer Of 69 Tells A Story About Women Relationships And Sєx

As teased in Summer of 69‘s trailer, the upcoming Hulu movie, with its coming-of-age story, is very Sєx-positive. Bell has spoken about how Abby and Santa Monica’s relationship was inspired by her relationship with her sister, and her desire to tell a story young women can relate to. Though the story of Summer of 69 clearly takes an absurd edge, there seems to be plenty of young adult hallmarks that could make this a new modern classic within the genre.

Bell, in her directorial debut, also took inspiration from the late filmmaker John Hughes, who is known for directing The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles. With Summer of 69 being a romantic comedy, the project could be viewed as a comfort film that aims to deliver a meaningful viewing experience, bringing both tears and laughter to viewers.

Our Take On Summer Of 69’s Trailer

It’s Fun And Unexpected

Abby might not know what she’s asking for in the Summer of 69, but her quest has certainly taken her on an unexpected journey. What’s really exciting about Bell’s new movie has very little to do with Sєx, but instead involves the female relationships. From Abby and Santa Monica to the women in the strip club, the film builds a community where women from different walks of life support and help each other, which is beautiful and rare.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series fans will be delighted to see Matt Cornett in another heartthrob role in addition to playing E.J. on the Disney series. For now, Cornett’s Max remains a bit of a mystery in Summer of 69. Aside from his Sєxual preference, there’s very little to know about him from the trailer, but fans will be able to find out what happens between him and Abby when the movie arrives.
