What Time Another Simple Favor Releases On Prime Video

After plenty of anticipation, Paul Feig’s Another Simple Favor finally arrives on Prime Video for streaming this Thursday. Debuting seven years after A Simple Favor’s twist-filled ending in 2018, the 2025 sequel brings back Anna Kendrick as Stephanie and Blake Lively as Emily for another round of shocking crimes and secrets being revealed. This time, however, the action is brought to Italy, as Emily gets married after being released early from her 20-year prison sentence.

Based on the same-named 2017 novel, the original A Simple Favor movie became a hit in 2018. Earning an impressive “Certified Fresh” 84% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and bringing in a $97.6 million box office haul against a $20 million budget (via Box Office Mojo), it was surprising that a sequel took so long to make. It was even more shocking that Amazon decided to debut Another Simple Favor on streaming rather than give it a theatrical release. Regardless, it’s finally here, as A Simple Favor‘s sequel releases for streaming on Thursday, May 1 on Prime Video.

Though Prime Video used to release some new movies at midnight GMT, thus technically becoming available the night before the official release date in the United States, that isn’t the case for Another Simple Favor. The two-hour Blake Lively movie hits the streaming service early in the morning on Thursday, similar to recent Prime Video releases like Nicole Kidman’s Holland.

Where To Watch A Simple Favor

The 2018 Movie Isn’t Included In A Prime Subscription

Though Another Simple Favor is releasing exclusively on Prime Video this week, the 2018 original isn’t currently included in the movie catalog for Prime subscribers. However, A Simple Favor is still available to rent for $3.99 or purchase for $4.99 on Prime Video. Meanwhile, A Simple Favor is currently available to stream on Netflix, but it will leave the streaming platform on May 19, just a couple of weeks after Another Simple Favor’s debut.
