Cleanse Your Palate With An Excusive Bonus Feature From Drop’s Digital Release

Following its respectable (albeit short) theatrical run and rave reviews, the latest Blumhouse horror movie Drop is already available on digital, and ScreenRant is pleased to present a clip from its BTS bonus features. Directed by Christopher Landon (of cult classic Happy Death Day and Freaky fame), with a script penned by Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach, the movie debuted with a solid 84% Rotten Tomatoes score and featured a standout performance from star Meghann Fahy.

Fahy plays Violet, a young widow and mother who leaves her son in her sister’s care while heading out for her first date in years. Said date is Henry (played by 1923 heartthrob Brandon Sklenar), who seems like an upstanding gentleman who has somehow become the target of a mysterious enтιтy sending Violet threatening messages to her phone. Our leading lady is thus between the rock of her son and sister’s safety, and the hard place of having to kill her date. Drop also stars Violett Beane, Reed Diamond, Jeffery Self, Ed Weeks, and Travis Nelson.

What To Expect From Drop’s Home Release

The Movie Is Available To Own Or Rent On Digital Now

ScreenRant‘s exclusive clip comes from the ‘A Palate For Panic’ bonus feature, which focuses on how Landon’s team built the set for the movie’s fictional restaurant Palate. Sklenar, Fahy and costar Gabrielle Ryan each praise the crew’s “phenomenal job” creating the gorgeous, high-end dining location, and Landon admits that most people who came through it believed it was a real restaurant. Of course, those who have seen the movie may no longer wish to take their dates there after the events that transpired onscreen.

Drop is currently available on digital through Vudu, Xfinity, AppleTV, Youtube, Microsoft, Verizon Fios, and DirecTV. It will also be available as a physical home release beginning June 10 through Amazon, Walmart, Target, and Barnes & Noble. When you purchase through a participating retailer, you’ll receive the following bonus features:

  • A RECIPE FOR THRILLS: MAKING DROP – Join the cast and crew of DROP as they sort through the ingredients of this date gone wrong.
  • A PALATE FOR PANIC – Take a seat and devour the details that went into creating Palate, a film set that doubles as a fully operational restaurant.
  • KILLER CHEMISTRY – Join Meghann Fahy and Brandon Sklenar as they discuss their characters’ first date and how they managed to keep Violet and Henry grounded throughout the escalation of events.
  • FEATURE COMMENTARY – with director Christopher Landon

You can also check out ScreenRant‘s interviews with Christopher Landon and with the leads at SXSW.
