American Horror Story Season 13 Has To Address At Least Some Of These 5 Mysteries

American Horror Story is preparing for its 13th season, and while plot details continue to be a mystery, I hope this season will address at least some of these mysteries from past seasons. Since its debut in 2011, American Horror Story has dominated the horror genre on TV. Despite its most recent seasons not matching the success and quality of the show’s first seasons, American Horror Story continues to be quite popular with the audience, and after the disappointment of season 12, Delicate, it’s getting ready for its 13th season.

Every season of American Horror Story covers a different horror theme, sometimes mixing different ones, and there have been connections between them that have formed an AHS connected universe. However, the show hasn’t been safe from loose ends and unanswered questions, and as every season is different, these have been left unsolved. With American Horror Story season 13 possibly being the show’s final season (though hopefully not), I really hope it will address, if not all, at least one or some of these mysteries from past seasons.

The Real Fate of Murder House

American Horror Story: Murder House

The first season of the show, Murder House, is all about the тιтle house, which is home to many ghosts, as all those who die in it are trapped there – and the house has seen many crimes. Murder House is now an iconic location in the universe of American Horror Story, so much so that it was a main setting in three episodes of the first season of American Horror Stories, and that’s what left a huge mystery about the house.

In the season 1 finale, “Game Over”, Murder House is burned down by Rory, whose mother, game developer Michelle, was stabbed there while researching the house for a video game. Three years later, condos are built where Murder House once stood, and some ghosts are revealed to have crossed over, while others chose to stay in the mortal realm.

However, it’s revealed at the end that all this was a playthrough of the finished video game, played by Rory. It’s unclear, then, if Murder House was truly burned down or if it still stands – and if it’s the latter, it’s to be seen who else has joined the list of ghosts inhabiting the house.

Is Ally’s Cult Still Active

American Horror Story: Cult

Sarah Paulson as Ally wearing a cloak looking the mirror in American Horror Story season 7

American Horror Story: Cult follows Kai (Evan Peters) and his growing cult in the aftermath of Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential win. A target of the cult is Ally (Sarah Paulson), whose phobias are triggered by Trump’s win. Ally eventually learns how Kai’s cult, with the help of her wife, Ivy (Allison Pill), manipulated her and made her suffer, but she takes control and begins playing her own game for her and her son’s safety.

At the end of American Horror Story: Cult, Kai escapes from prison and tries to kill Ally at the debate, as she’s campaigning to become senator, but Ally has a plan. Ally, having recruited Kai’s one remaining follower, gets him killed, but the big twist is in Ally being revealed to now be a member of the cult named SCUM. This cult hasn’t been seen or mentioned again in American Horror Story, and it’s unclear if it’s still active and if Ally is still in it.

Why Asylum’s Aliens Chose Kit

American Horror Story: Asylum

American Horror Story: Asylum mixes different horror themes, and one of the most intriguing ones is aliens. Although not a commanding presence in Asylum, the aliens do enough to raise many questions, mostly why they target Kit (Peters). It’s revealed they abducted Alma and Grace to impregnate them, but Kit is not an outstanding human in any way, and yet they take him back with them when Kit is about to die of old age.

H๏τel Cortez After Apocalypse’s Time Traveling

American Horror Story: H๏τel & Apocalypse

American Horror Story: H๏τel takes the audience into H๏τel Cortez, which, like Murder House, has witnessed many crimes, trapping those who die inside the H๏τel along with other demons and unpleasant presences. Three years later, American Horror Story: Apocalypse brought together Murder House, Coven, and H๏τel, but left huge questions about the latter thanks to Mallory’s time travel to save the world.

Most notably, the Countess (Lady Gaga) could still be alive, thus changing the hierarchy of the H๏τel from the one at the end of the season.

When Mallory travels back to 2015, some of her actions would directly impact the events of H๏τel and the ghosts in it. Most notably, the Countess (Lady Gaga) could still be alive, thus changing the hierarchy of the H๏τel from the one at the end of H๏τel, but there’s also the question of whether H๏τel Cortez is still active and if it became a historic building.

The New Antichrist

American Horror Story: Apocalypse

The biggest mystery in American Horror Story so far is whatever happened to the new Antichrist. As mentioned above, Mallory’s time traveling is all about stopping Michael Langdon and the apocalypse, and she succeeds by killing Langdon outside Murder House. However, this isn’t exactly the end of the Antichrist, as he still finds a way to return.

At the end of American Horror Story: Apocalypse, Timothy and Emily have a son, Devan, who is revealed to be the Antichrist in the final scene, after his parents return home to find that he killed his babysitter. Devan hasn’t appeared or been mentioned in subsequent American Horror Story seasons, so it’s unclear if he’s still alive and if he could trigger another apocalypse in a future season.
