What Fear Street: Prom Queen’s Trailer Says About The Movie

The Fourth Installment Is Shaping Up To Be Very Different

While the trailer implicates one student, Megan Rogers, as having an important role to play, it remains unclear who will be involved in the murders descending upon the school.

The original trilogy of Fear Street movies all centered around the same connected storyline, providing some dark and terrifying tales that bolstered its premise. However, it appears that Prom Queen isn’t going to be directly connected to any of the previous installments, instead focusing on a new killer and a new storyline. The trailer clarifies that this is going to be a much smaller-scale story than the previous films, but will still feature an intriguing mystery with the slasher villain in a red hood.

As for where the events fall on the Fear Street timeline, it seems this particular slasher villain will be committing crimes after 1978’s Camp Nightwing killer and before 1994’s Skull Mask. It’s unclear if the events from the camp are going to be referenced in the upcoming installment, but it does signal that Shadyside will continue to be a H๏τspot for gruesome terrors. While the trailer implicates one student, Megan Rogers, as having an important role to play, it remains unclear who will be involved in the murders descending upon the school.
