Now You See Me 3 Trailer: The Four Horsemen Team With 3 New Magicians For Their Most Dangerous Opponent Yet

The trailer for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t reveals new stakes for the Four Horsemen. The franchise’s film introduced a group of scheming illusionists who manage to pull off elaborate heists while being tracked down by an FBI agent and an Interpol detective. Over a decade later, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t sees the four magicians returning as they face off against a new opponent. Directed by Ruben Fleischer, the third installment features Jesse Eisenberg, Daniel Radcliffe, Woody Harrelson, and Morgan Freeman.

Now, Lionsgate has revealed a trailer for Now You See Me: Now You Don’t. The trailer opens with Eisenberg’s J. Daniel Atlas explaining one key rule of magic: everything that disappears will reappear. The footage then reveals a younger generation of magicians, who had previously used holograms of the former lead characters on stage. This team will be ᴀssisted by the real Atlas, and execute a big trick. While attempting to steal a diamond, J eventually encounters his former team, as they set their sights on a criminal organization led by Rosamund Pike’s antagonist.

What This Means For Now You See Me: Now You Don’t

The Four Horsemen Interact With New Talent

The Now You See Me: Now You Don’t trailer focuses heavily on the new leads in the film. There will be a trio of younger magicians played by Dominic Sessa, Justice Smith, and Ariana Greenblatt. They are younger stars who have broken out in the last couple of years. Sessa, for example, played a key role in 2023’s The Holdovers, and Smith was in last year’s I Saw The TV Glow. However, the trailer also implies there was some falling out between J and his former colleagues. While the reason is now addressed, that has led to the protagonist recruiting a younger crew.

The trailer seems to have a pretty equal balance of old and new characters. While the new trio drives the plot forward, the young crew and J. will encounter the other Horsemen from the previous movies, including Harrelson’s Merritt McKinney, Dave Franco’s Jack Wilder, and Isla Fisher’s Henley Reeves, who marks her franchise return after skipping the second film. Freeman is also seen briefly in the trailer as ex-magician Thaddeus Bradley. It appears that the eight magicians will target the criminal organization in perhaps their biggest heist yet. However, there is no sight of Mark Ruffalo’s detective character Dylan Rhodes, which makes his return questionable.

Our Take On The Now You See Me: Now You Don’t Trailer

Rosamund Pike’s Role Looks Interesting

In addition to the leading trio, another new actor in Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is Pike. She plays what can be ᴀssumed to be the film’s main antagonist, the matriarch of the Vanderberg family. As evidenced by her role in Saltburn, Pike is adept at playing a scheming wealthy person. As such, she will be another great addition to what looks to be a well-cast sequel.

Now You See Me: Now You Don’t is slated to hit theaters on November 14.
