Jensen Ackles suits up as the next big screen version of Batman in new DC Universe art. As James Gunn is rebooting the Justice League for the big and small screens, there are several important characters for the DCU’s Chapter 1: “Gods and Monsters” to cast. One of them will be Bruce Wayne, a.k.a. Batman, for The Brave and The Bold, which is currently in development at DC Studios.
The Brave and The Bold movie may not have found its leading star yet, but fans are making their voices heard through various dream casting picks, with Ackles being one of them. To show what he could look like as Batman in the DCU timeline, Captain Raccoon shared new artwork of Ackles in the Batsuit. Check it out below:

The DCU art sees Ackles with a fairly traditional Batsuit, from donning the yellow utility belt to having a classic-looking Batcave. While Andy Muschietti is set to direct The Brave and The Bold, the film still doesn’t have a release date as the script is still being written.
What The Jensen Ackles Batman Art Means For The DCU
While time will tell when The Brave and The Bold movie will actually happen, there is no denying that Batman will be one of the most sought-after roles in the DCU, as there are bound to be many actors trying to get a sH๏τ at suiting up as the DC icon. In fact, multiple actors have expressed their interest in joining the DCU franchise as Batman, with Ackles being one of them. That is why the Supernatural star continues to emerge through numerous fan art and concept trailers as the Caped Crusader.
Even though there is no telling when the Batman casting process for the DCU is actually going to start, as more artwork pieces get made for Ackles as the Dark Knight, it’s clear that he has the support of many fans to see him join the franchise. With Ackles also being a Batman fan himself, as well as having voiced the Gotham City crime-fighter in the animated Tomorrowverse, it’s evident that a lot of people are ready to see him get a sH๏τ at the role in live-action. Since The Brave and The Bold will also focus on an established version of the DC hero, Ackles would fit that iteration perfectly.
Our Take On The Jensen Ackles Batman Art
The DCU artwork continues to add to the case that Ackles would be an incredible choice for Batman, which begs the question of whether DC Studios is paying attention to how popular this casting choice is with fans. Having an established star like Ackles join the DCU timeline as Batman would be one of the biggest casting choices for DC Studios if they went through with it. Hopefully, whenever DC Studios does start its casting search for Batman in the DCU, Ackles will at least have the chance to be considered.
