Metal Sonic’s Role In Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Can Finally Bring A Major Sonic Concept To The Big Screen

Metal Sonic being included in Sonic the Hedgehog 4 means that a concept from the comics can finally be included in the movie series. The upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will include characters such as Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, as well as Amy Rose, who was introduced in the post-credits scene of Sonic 3. While Amy Rose will likely join Team Sonic, Metal Sonic was also introduced at the end of the third movie and will seemingly be the main villain of the fourth film.

Metal Sonic is one of the most popular villains in the Sonic franchise, so it makes sense that he will be the primary antagonist of the fourth film, especially since Ivo Robotnik seemingly died at the end of Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Ivo was Sonic’s primary adversary in the first three movies in the series. However, he found redemption during the climax of the third film, when he turned on Gerald Robotnik. Because of this, the door is now open for another Sonic villain to step into the spotlight in Sonic 4, and Metal Sonic is a great choice.

Metal Sonic Could Introduce Roboticization To The Sonic Movies

Metal Sonic Is A Ruthless Robot In The Franchise

In the post-credits scene of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic accidently runs way too far while racing Knuckles and Tails, and ends up alone in the woods. He quickly gets surrounded by an army of Metal Sonics, and is shocked to see that they look exactly like him. Luckily, Amy Rose quickly appears to save the day, taking out all the robots with her piko piko hammer. This scene sets up Amy Rose’s major role in Sonic the Hedgehog 4, but it is unlikely that Metal Sonic will give up his hunt that easily.

In the video games, Metal Sonic was created by Ivo Robotnik and can perfectly imitate Sonic’s abilities. This makes him a worthy adversary to Sonic. Additionally, since he is a robot, Metal Sonic is an emotionless and ruthless version of the Blue Blur. Therefore, he is a villain that is continuously ᴅᴇᴀᴅset on taking out Sonic. In the movie series, it is unknown how Metal Sonic was created, but it is possible that Ivo created an army of robots before he found redemption and died saving humanity.

Metal Sonic Could Introduce Roboticization To The Sonic Movies

Characters Could Be Turned Into Robots In Sonic The Hedgehog 4

Since Metal Sonic is a significant robot from the franchise that has finally been introduced in the movie series, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 could feature the concept of roboticization. This is a concept that originated in the Sonic comic series, which ran from 1993 to 2017, and refers to the process of turning an organic creature into a robotic being. In the comics, this is usually done with a Roboticizer, which is a device that is exploited by Ivo Robotnik.

In the comics, several prominent characters have been roboticized, such as Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Shadow, Amy Rose, and many others.

While undergoing roboticization, all of a character’s body parts are replaced with mechanical equivalents, and they gain increased strength and other abilities. In the comics, several prominent characters have been roboticized, such as Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Shadow, Amy Rose, and many others. In their robotic forms, this group of characters are known as the Roboticized Masters. Since all the aforementioned characters have been introduced in the movie series, it’s possible that some of them will be roboticized in Sonic the Hedgehog 4.

Roboticization Could Allow Robotnik To Live On Without Jim Carey

Ivo Robotnik Has Appeared In Every Sonic The Hedgehog Movie

While he is technically retired as an actor, Jim Carrey has appeared as Ivo Robitnik in every Sonic the Hedgehog movie. Sonic 3 seemingly killed him off, but there are still ways for Ivo to return in Sonic the Hedgehog 4. For example, if Ivo Robitnik did indeed create Metal Sonic, like he does in the video games and comic books, then perhaps he already has access to a Roboticizer.

If this is the case, then the version of Ivo Robotnik that we have seen in three movies could be replaced by a robotic version of the character. Since he would be turned into a robot, the process of roboticization could potentially reverse the development that Ivo underwent at the end of Sonic 3. Therefore, this robotic version of Ivo Robotnik could potentially appear as a villain in Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and could team up with Metal Sonic to take on Team Sonic.
