The first look at Jason Momoa’s Lobo in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow has been revealed. Momoa is one of the biggest stars DC has ever had. The actor led two Aquaman movies as its тιтle character, also appearing in other DCEU entries as Arthur Curry. 2018’s Aquaman has become DC’s highest-grossing film, showing the potential the actor has in the franchise. Ever since he was announced as part of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow‘s cast in his DC dream role, Momoa has teased how accurate his Lobo look is to the comics. Now, fans can tell that for themselves.
A new Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow set video shared by UnBoxPHD shows Jason Momoa’s Lobo fighting another character. Lobo appears to sport his signature leather jacket under a large cape, boots, chalk-white skin, and long hair. The idenтιтy of the character he is fighting is unknown, but it could be another bounty hunter involved in the story of the DCU’s Supergirl movie. Momoa’s Lobo appears to be using his chains from the comics to attack the character, though they cannot be seen in the set video, as the Main Man’s weapon will be added later with the help of CGI.

What The Supergirl Movie Lobo Set Video Reveals
Jason Momoa’s Lobo Will Be Accurate To The Comics
Lobo is a wild card when it comes to Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. The character is not part of the comics the DCU movie is based on. As such, there is no set path for DC to follow. However, based on the new Supergirl movie set video, it seems like Momoa’s Lobo might have a bone to pick with other bounty hunters or mercenaries. At least one bounty hunter is present in the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comics, so Lobo and others could now be included in the DCU version of the story.
While more from Lobo’s story is not revealed in the new Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow fight video, there are some key Lobo details to note. Momoa’s version of the Czarnian looks just like Lobo does in the comics. Lobo’s fighting style also seems to reflect his comic book counterpart, with the use of chains to be added via CGI and Lobo’s posture indicating a heavy, unrelenting approach to fighting enemies. While Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is unlikely to be R-rated, it seems like DC has found a way to keep Lobo true to the comics violence-wise.
Our Take On The Supergirl Movie Lobo Set Video
DC’s Main Man Looks Great In Action
I think Jason Momoa’s Lobo looks just like he should. While we still need to get a good peek at his face, the character’s costume and chalk-white skin are comic-book-accurate. Lobo also behaves on set during the fight scene as I would expect him to, so it seems like the DCU is going for a faithful approach to the character. Since Momoa has always made it clear how much he loves Lobo, one could not expect anything else from the team behind the film. Lobo‘s debut in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is shaping up to be very exciting.
