Galactus Gets A Full Reveal Alongside The New Silver Surfer After Fantastic Four: First Steps Trailer In Stunning MCU Concept Poster

Marvel recently released the official trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps and fans are already getting creative reimagining the film’s two main antagonists. The new trailer finally confirms the direction that the MCU’s Fantastic Four remake will take after months of speculation. Sue Storm will be pregnant, which will likely result in the introduction of Franklin Richards, and the two antagonists that the Fantastic Four will be working to take down are Silver Surfer and Galactus. The Fantastic Four trailer shows the family in a confrontation with Silver Surfer, while Galactus looms in the stratosphere.

Fans got to briefly see the back of Galactus’ head in the first Fantastic Four: First Steps teaser, while the trailer showed off Julia Garner’s Silver Surfer in her full glory. With a confirmed visual for the two characters, some fans are already putting their own spin on them. Digital artist and BossLogic, who has also done cover art for Marvel Comics in the past, posted his take on a concept poster of Galactus and Silver Surfer on his Instagram. If fan art can already look this epic, then hopefully the actual film delivers as well.

What The Galactus Fantastic Four Concept Poster Means For The MCU Movie

Galactus' foot is seen in New York as he walks in The Fantastic Four First Steps trailer

BossLogic’s concept poster shows Galactus looming in the universe with his eyes glowing. In his outstretched hand, Silver Surfer stands with her surfboard-like hovercraft. The scale of the characters depicted in this fan art looks accurate to what has been shown in the official trailers so far, and the MCU movie will have to make sure they keep it consistent for the best effect. Galactus is so big in this art that he looks to easily traverse the galaxy, just like the similarly omnipotent Celestials.

The fact that he can fit Silver Surfer in the palm of his hand emphasizes just how large he is. This Fantastic Four: First Steps concept poster also hopefully predicts the dynamic that will be shown between the two characters in the actual MCU movie, considering how intertwined they are. In the comics, Norrin Radd gains power from Galactus after agreeing to serve as his herald and becomes Silver Surfer because of it. His lover, Shalla-Bal, also turns into the Silver Surfer under Franklin Richards’ rule as Galactus, and she is the variant that The Fantastic Four will be following.

Our Take On The Galactus Fantastic Four Concept Poster

BossLogic never disappoints in his designs, and this Fantastic Four concept poster is no different. The dark blue tones of the fan art give off an otherworldliness, which really depicts the vastness of the galaxy. The sheer scale of Galactus in comparison to Silver Surfer reinforces the fact that she may be an obstacle for the Fantastic Four, but he is the one pulling the strings behind the scenes. Silver Surfer isn’t an outright villain in the way that Galactus is, but she’s undoubtedly an antagonist to the Fantastic Four to some degree.

The trailer shows Silver Surfer notifying the Fantastic Four that their planet has been “marked for death”, and she shakes off an attempt by Johnny Storm to stop her. In the comics, Silver Surfer worked for Galactus when originally sacrificed to be a herald. The character later betrays Galactus to save Earth, which is the direction The Fantastic Four: First Steps could be taking. In that case, BossLogic’s art of Galactus holding Silver Surfer in the palm of his hand could be accurate imagery of how Galactus will start the film by controlling the character.
