Keanu Reeves’ John Constantine Returns In Stunning Constantine 2 Concept Poster

A Constantine 2 concept poster imagines Keanu Reeves’ DC return as John Constantine in the upcoming sequel. While James Gunn’s DC Universe is on the horizon, a long-time classic DC franchise is eyeing a second run, as Constantine 2 is currently being worked on with Reeves. The Constantine sequel is coming nearly two decades after the original film was released, which has since garnered a huge cult following.

As DC Studios remains committed to Elseworlds properties, Constantine 2 is still in development with Reeves returning as the тιтular hero. While the world is waiting to get more updates, @ArtByHaxan created a Constantine 2 concept poster, showcasing what Reeves’ upcoming DC return may look like in the sequel. Check it out below:

At the time of this story’s publication, Constantine 2 does not have a current release date, nor are there any details known about when the sequel will actually start filming. Outside of Reeves as the тιтular character, no other Constantine cast members are attached to Constantine 2 for the time being.

What The Constantine 2 Art Means For Keanu Reeves’ Sequel

While time will tell when more Constantine 2 updates will be arriving, the fact that fans are still showing their support for Reeves’ take on the character showcases that many are behind this sequel happening. It’s not often that a film that came out all the way back in 2005 is getting a sequel, especially in the superhero genre, with Constantine 2 being one of the very few exceptions. But nevertheless, fans are open to seeing Reeves’ Constantine continue the story setup in the first installment.

What is additionally key to take into account is that, as the DCU timeline is being built out, the notion that amazing Constantine 2 artwork pieces are still being made is also a sign that fans are still behind the idea of having these Elseworlds franchises exist at the same time. With Reeves’ character existing in his own universe, there are many exciting reasons for Constantine 2 to be happening, as they don’t have to worry about any interconnectivity. This could also allow Constantine 2 to get closer to the comic book counterpart.

Our Take On The Constantine 2 Art

Seeing how great Reeves would still look as Constantine raises the question of when more updates will be emerging on Constantine 2, as the excitement for the sequel is only getting stronger. Given that Constantine director Francis Lawrence, who is set to return for Constantine 2, has said that they “are closer than ever to being able to do a sequel,” hopefully they may be ready to get greenlit. While further updates could be some time from being revealed, hopefully fans won’t have to wait too much longer to learn what is happening with Constantine 2.
