The DC Universe finds its Batman through Jensen Ackles as The Boys star suits up in new The Brave and The Bold art. The Dark Knight is getting reimagined in the DCU timeline, as DC Studios is currently developing The Brave and The Bold as part of Gunn’s superhero franchise. As Batman is one of the biggest roles in Hollywood, there are many actors being suggested for the DCU gig.
While the DCU has yet to cast its new Batman for The Brave and The Bold, Ackles has continued to be a major candidate with fans to join Gunn’s new superhero franchise. To show what he could look like with different versions of the famous Batsuit, Hasan Kazi shared DCU artwork imagining the Supernatural actor as the DC icon. Check it out below:

While Ackles hasn’t played Batman in live-action, he did voice the Caped Crusader in the short-lived animated Tomorrowverse franchise. At the time of this story’s publication, The Brave and The Bold casting process has yet to begin.
What The Jensen Ackles As Batman Art Means For The DCU
Given how crucial Batman is in the larger DC lore, fans are obviously going to share their excitement about who they think should be the next Bruce Wayne on the big screen. In Ackles’ case, it’s not just fans who want to see him suit up as the Caped Crusader, but the actor himself has made it clear on several occasions that he wants a chance at the тιтular role in The Brave and The Bold movie. As fans continue to remember Ackles’ past comments on playing Batman, it’s not a shock that artists are sharing what he could look like as the Gotham City crime-fighter.
If Ackles’ Batman casting in the DCU were to happen, it would also make up for how close fans were to getting him as the DC icon in live-action. Initially, The CW’s Gotham Knights was looking at tapping Ackles as Batman, but plans ultimately fell through. However, if The Brave and The Bold landed Ackles as the DCU’s Batman, it would make for an even bigger live-action debut for the popular actor.
Our Take On The Jensen Ackles As Batman Art
Seeing how incredible Ackles would look in any of the Batsuits, it would be a mᴀssive deal to see the Supernatural star get his proper chance to play the iconic Justice League hero in live-action. While The Brave and The Bold movie still doesn’t have a script ready yet, once they get a screenplay in order, it likely won’t take long until the casting process finally kicks off. When that time comes, Ackles will hopefully at least be considered for Batman in The Brave and The Bold.
