A Lost star has been cast in an upcoming adaptation of a classic western novel. Since the hit show ended in 2010, many of Lost‘s cast members have gone on to star in a wide variety of projects. Evangeline Lilly, who played Kate Austen in Lost, played the elf Tauriel in two The Hobbit movies and the superhero Hope van Dyne/the Wasp in multiple Ant-Man movies and in Avengers: Endgame. Daniel Dae Kim, who played Jin-Soo Kwon, portrayed Chin Ho Kelly in Hawaii Five-O, and more recently, Fire Lord Ozai in Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Michael Emerson, who is known for playing Lost‘s Ben Linus, has continued to make a strong impact on television with his roles as Harold Finch in Person of Interest, Dr. Leland Townsend in Evil, and Dr. Siggi Wilzig in Fallout. Harold Perrineau, who played Michael Dawson in Lost, plays the lead role of Sheriff Boyd Stevens in the critically acclaimed From, which has drawn many comparisons to Lost. Now, another Lost actor is set to star in an upcoming movie.
Lost’s Josh Holloway Will Star In Flint
He Will Play The Main Character
Josh Holloway, who played James “Sawyer” Ford in Lost, has been cast in Flint. Published in 1960, Flint was written by Louis L’Amour and follows a ruthless businessman, James Kettleman, who returns home and becomes involved in a violent range war. Kettleman was raised on the New Mexico frontier, but he left when he was 17, and proceeded to make his fortune in the East. He now returns under the name Flint, which is the same name of the killer who raised him. However, he is largely motivated by a cattle rancher named Nancy Kerrigan, who he wants to help.
As per Tirian Films, Holloway has been cast as Kettleman and will also be one of the movie’s producers. Beau L’Amour, who is the son of the original novel’s author, will produce as well, while Ryan Whitaker has been tapped to direct the adaptation. The movie’s other producers include Ken Carpenter (The Shift, Finding You), Mark Pentecost (Florida Wild), and Jerilyn Esquibel (The Unbreakable Boy). Check out Holloway’s statement about the movie below:
The story of Flint is one I’ve wanted to tell for years. To play this incredible role and help bring it to the screen as a producer makes this project even more special. It’ll be a new challenge, but one I am all in on.
Our Take On Josh Holloway Being Cast In Flint
He Is An Excellent Choice
Holloway’s previous experience and his enthusiasm make him a perfect fit for Flint. Kettleman sounds somewhat similar to what made Sawyer one of Lost‘s best characters, as both have dark pasts and the ability to be ruthless, yet they are poised to become reluctant heroes. Holloway also has experience working on westerns, including starring in Yellowstone, which makes him well-suited to returning to the genre. Between Flint and the upcoming television series Duster, it is thrilling to see Holloway landing more starring roles after Lost.
