The trailer very quickly establishes that Ares is a departure from its predecessors when it opens with a high-speed chase involving light cycles in the real world. After that, one of the flying ships from within the virtual world of Tron menaces a major city, and Greta Lee’s character, Eve Kim, flees as it begins to attack.
