The 2013 movie’s return to prominence comes at a quiet period in the franchise’s history. Its TV series, The Croods: Family Tree, has come to an end, and there has been no official confirmation of The Croods 3. At the moment, it is not yet known if another show or movie will ever be produced, but the franchise’s renewed success on Netflix could indicate its potential. If Nicolas Cage and the other stars agree to return for a new The Croods movie, then the possibilities are endless. Unfortunately, it will likely be years before a threequel will ever reach theaters.
