David Corenswet drops a hint at the DCU’s Jor-El actor after James Gunn shared a sneak peek at the second Superman trailer. Superman‘s star-studded cast has already confirmed its Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, Lex Luthor, Perry White, Jonathan Kent, and Martha Kent. One of the most important Superman characters whose DCU actor remains unconfirmed is Jor-El — Superman’s biological father, who dies during Krypton’s destruction but communicates with his son through Kryptonian technology.
On X, Superman star David Corenswet shares James Gunn’s new Superman sneak peek with the caption, “While I was flying someone shared a sneak peek of the new Superman film. Anybody recognize some familiar voices?” The only characters with lines of dialog in the Superman clip besides David Corenswet’s Superman himself are the robots in the Fortress of Solitude. One of the robots seems to be voiced by Alan Tudyk, and a disembodied voice coming from the fortress seems to be Bradley Cooper’s. Check out David Corenswet’s X post below:

What David Corenswet’s Superman Trailer Comments Mean
Superman’s Sneak Peek Practically Confirms Jor-El’s Casting
As shown by James Gunn’s Superman sneak peek, the Fortress of Solitude will be guarded by a group of Kryptonian robots, all of them inspired by those featured in All-Star Superman. As is tradition for the Fortress of Solitude, Superman’s headquarters will also be overseen by an artificial form of Jor-El’s consciousness. In James Gunn’s Superman, the Fortress of Solitude’s Jor-El AI system might be voiced by Bradley Cooper, who may also appear in human form at some point in the movie.
James Gunn has several long-time collaborators who tend to appear in the projects he writes and directs. Guy Gardner actor Nathan Fillion, Cat Grant actor Mikaela Hoover, Peacemaker and Creature Commandos‘ Steve Agee, and Creature Commandos‘ sneaky Michael Rooker voice cameo are some examples of Gunn’s collaborators joining the DCU. It makes sense for Bradley Cooper, who voiced Rocket Raccoon in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, to appear in Superman as Jor-El.
Our Take On David Corenswet’s Superman Trailer Comments
Jor-El Is An Iconic Movie Role
Jor-El isn’t just an important character in Superman’s DC lore. Throughout the decades, renowned Hollywood stars such as Marlon Brando, Russell Crowe, and Terence Stamp. Academy-Award-nominated actor Bradley Cooper has built an impressive career, and his experience voicing a superhero in the MCU adds to his potential for such an important DC character. How much screentime and how much influence on the Superman plot Jor-El will have is yet to be seen, though some communication between Jor-El’s AI system and David Corenswet’s Superman is to be expected.
