A trailer for After the Hunt has debuted at CinemaCon. The upcoming thriller movie is directed Luca Guadagnino and revolves around a college professor grappling with her past when a fellow professor faces a disturbing accusation. After the Hunt‘s cast includes Julia Roberts, Ayo Edebiri, Andrew Garfield, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Chloë Sevigny. The movie’s theatrical release is slated for October 10.

Now, an After the Hunt trailer has been shown during Amazon MGM’s Cinemacon panel, which was attended by ScreenRant. The footage highlights the relationships between Roberts, Garfield, and Edebiri’s characters and the disagreements they have due to their respective generations. We then see them talking in private in the dark, with Edebiri expressing concern about Garfield’s character. Something happened in Edebiri’s apartment with them two, but Garfield’s character says it’s because she has a grievance of some sort. The rest of the trailer shows things unfolding, mostly focused on Roberts’ character falling apart. It ends with her saying, “Not everything is supposed to make you comfortable.”

Guadagnino has proven in the past that his movies are capable of handling these topics well, and After the Hunt will likely be no exception to this.
