Mickey 17 Digital & Blu-Ray Release Dates Revealed

The digital and Blu-ray release dates for Mickey 17 have been announced. Bong Joon Ho’s first movie since Parasite features an impressive cast that includes Robert Pattinson, Naomi Ackie, Steven Yeun, Mark Ruffalo, and Toni Collette. Mickey 17‘s reviews have been largely positive, with the movie receiving praise for Pattinson’s dual performance, Bong’s direction, and the story’s ability to deftly balance the humor and drama of its satire. The satirical science-fiction movie has not fared as strongly at the box office, though, having earned only $121 million worldwide against its $118 million production budget.

Warner Bros. has now shared that Mickey 17 will be available for digital purchase and 48-hour rental as of April 8 on participating platforms, including Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play, and Fandango at Home. Mickey 17‘s physical media release is slated for May 13, where it will be available to watch via 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD, and it will continue to be available on participating digital retailer platforms after May 13. Check out the Blu-ray and digital 4K covers below:

  • Behind The Lens: Bong Joon Ho’s Mickey 17
  • Mickey 17: A World Reimagined
  • The Faces of Niflheim

What This Means For Mickey 17

The Home Media Releases Should Expand The Movie’s Audience

With a March 7 theatrical debut, Mickey 17 will only have had a month of exclusivity in theaters before coming to digital platforms. Mickey 17‘s box office opening and worldwide earnings are not as high as Warner Bros. would have liked, but the movie now has an opportunity to find a larger audience through the upcoming digital and physical media releases. Only having a month in theaters also means that some individuals interested in the movie may not have had an opportunity to see it yet, but home media releases will make it easier to watch.

For those that enjoyed Mickey 17‘s creepers, “The Faces of Niflheim” special feature should be fun to watch, and will provide more insight into how the unique aliens and the icy planet were brought to life behind the scenes. While Mickey 17 may have less widespread appeal than Bong’s Oscar-winning Parasite, both movies are cinematic triumphs in distinct ways. All three special features will be a rewarding way to celebrate the creative achievements of Mickey 17.

Our Take On Mickey 17’s Digital & Blu-Ray Release Dates

2025’s Best Movie So Far Deserves To Be Seen Numerous Times

With Mickey 17 being my favorite movie of 2025 so far, I was disappointed that it did not perform better at the box office, and am hopeful that it will gain more traction through its home media releases. Bong’s latest movie is an equally hilarious and thought-provoking exploration of timely themes, and it features arguably the best performance in Pattinson’s career. Mickey 17 is both worth rewatching and checking out for the first time, and this will hopefully help with the digital and Blu-ray sales.
