Sofia Carson‘s latest romantic comedy-drama has enjoyed a strong debut on the Netflix global charts. Carson first rose to prominence playing the role of Evie in Disney’s hit musical fantasy film Descendants and reprised her role in further installments of the series. It is Brooks’ first directorial effort since the 2008 Ryan Reynolds romantic comedy Definitely, Maybe.

The movie ranks above Netflix’s most expensive-ever movie, The Electric State, at no. 2, as well as Con Mom at no. 3, Den of Thieves 2: Pantera at no. 4, and The Twister: Caught in the Storm at no. 5.
