In fact, the Star Wars timeline has found ways to incorporate them again and again, directly in the sequel trilogy and shows like Obi-Wan Kenobi and indirectly in the prequels and shows like Star Wars: The Clone Wars, by revealing the earliest iteration of such troopers—the clone troopers. This legacy only makes it all the more surprising that it was stormtroopers that were chosen for these collectibles.
Stormtroopers are ᴀssociated with the Empire and therefore with fear, violence, and control. Yet, this is entirely opposite the symbolism of the cherry blossom, which is ᴀssociated with beauty, optimism, and new beginnings. Even so, the cherry blossoms look absolutely beautiful against the white of the stormtrooper uniforms, and it makes for a truly unique collectible.
