Blumhouse’s horror movie The Woman in the Yard is a unique addition to actress Danielle ᴅᴇᴀᴅwyler’s filmography. Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, 2025’s The Woman in the Yard shows ᴅᴇᴀᴅwyler playing the main character, Ramona, a single mother who tries to protect her two children from the film’s тιтular Woman as she stalks them on their property with her supernatural powers. The Woman in the Yard‘s trailers teased a promising new horror movie from the director of Netflix’s Carry-On.
However, the film has since premiered with a shocking 41% rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 45% rating from audiences. These reviews sound disappointing, especially considering the reception that ᴅᴇᴀᴅwyler’s previous movies have garnered. Though this has broken ᴅᴇᴀᴅwyler’s record on Rotten Tomatoes, the turnout for this Blumhouse horror movie hasn’t detracted from the success she has had starring in many other films in the past few years.
