One new MCU hero would benefit mᴀssively from being included in the impressive, newly-confirmed cast of 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday. Marvel Studios confirmed the first batch of stars set to appear in Avengers: Doomsday in a lengthy chair-laying ceremony on March 26, which has given us a taste of what we can expect from Doomsday and its 2027 sequel, Secret Wars. Despite this first reveal being incredibly exciting, there are suspicions that Marvel hasn’t yet confirmed Doomsday’s entire cast, which raises hopes for other MCU heroes.
There are still many MCU heroes who haven’t been confirmed to be returning in Avengers: Doomsday, even though they are expected to have a prominent role in the movie and its sequel. Marvel has already revealed that the likes of the Avengers, the Fantastic Four, the Thunderbolts and even the X-Men will be facing Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, but we want even more. By bringing back one hero in particular, Avengers: Doomsday can solve some of Marvel’s biggest recent mistakes from the MCU’s Phase 4.
The MCU’s Avengers: Doomsday Cast Announcement Has Confirmed A Wide Range Of Characters For The Next Avengers Movie
Marvel Has Confirmed 27 Avengers: Doomsday Actors
Marvel’s recent five-and-a-half-hour-long cast announcement confirmed that Avengers: Doomsday would include one of the most varied and jam-packed casts of any movie in the MCU’s history. 27 actors from Marvel’s movie history have been announced for the 2026 movie, including some of Hollywood’s biggest stars, classic Marvel actors from before the MCU and even brand-new faces who haven’t yet appeared in the franchise. Avengers: Doomsday will be perhaps the most expansive and most exciting MCU movie yet, but this may not be the entire cast.

Avengers: Doomsday’s Cast Announcement May Not Be Its Entire Cast Yet
Many Heroes Are Missing From Avengers: Doomsday’s Cast
Prior to Marvel Studios’ cast reveal, there was speculation that over 50 names would be confirmed to be appearing in Avengers: Doomsday. Only 27 stars were announced during the lengthy chair ceremony, which may consтιтute about half of Doomsday’s actual cast. This means Marvel may be hanging onto several surprises, but has also neglected to confirm a number of notable MCU veterans and long-running heroes. This includes some original characters, such as Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner, Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton and Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury.
Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Benedict Cumberbatch, Ryan Reynolds, Lashana Lynch, Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Don Cheadle and many more have also seemingly been ignored by Marvel Studios. It’s very possible that another cast announcement for Avengers: Doomsday could still be on the way, with the first perhaps being the stars who are available for filming right now. There are also some new heroes who haven’t been addressed, including the likes of Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight, the Eternals and, notably, Tatiana Maslany’s powerful Jennifer Walters, a.k.a. She-Hulk.
I’m Convinced Bringing Back She-Hulk In Avengers: Doomsday Would Be The Right Move For The Hero & The MCU
We Want She-Hulk To Return in Avengers: Doomsday, Too
Given recent news that Tatiana Maslany wouldn’t be appearing at 2025’s Comic-Con Liverpool due to “filming commitments,” many speculated that this was due to her casting in Avengers: Doomsday. However, Maslany’s name was missing from the first announcement of Doomsday’s cast, even though her inclusion in the Phase 6 movie would be the best choice for the new MCU hero and her future. 2022’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law didn’t mark the strongest debut for Jennifer Walter’s She-Hulk, which has left her fate uncertain, despite teasing her transition onto the big-screen.
Avengers: Doomsday will have a bigger budget, the safety of the VFX artists’ union and a creative team that is more experienced in the way Marvel works and the impressive capabilities of the studio. This means that She-Hulk’s design will surely be more realistic and believable, with cleaner CGI, while the Russo brothers will also be more comfortable testing the limits of the character. She-Hulk can show off her more serious, dramatic sides in Avengers: Doomsday, so we really hope Tatiana Maslany gets revealed to be returning in the MCU’s Phase 6.
