A live-action movie was first announced in November 2023. It will be helmed by Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes director Wes Ball.
As per Sony Pictures and Nintendo, the Legend of Zelda movie release date has been announced. The film is set to release in theaters on March 26, 2027. In 2023, the group put out the animated film The Super Mario Bros. Movie, which made over $1.3 billion, becoming the second-highest grossing movie of that year. It Is Good For Nintendo To Take Its Time
In a world inundated with video game adaptations, it is comforting to know that Nintendo is not rushing this one. While two years still gives audiences plenty of time to wait for The Legend of Zelda live-action, it will hopefully give the studios time to make sure they are making a movie worthy of its decades of reputation. Given the avid fan base and important history in the gaming industry, the movie could still be subject to scrutiny, but the release window is still hopeful.
