All the literature lovers should know the Bronte sisters in this(2016) biopic “To walk invisible”. Before watching it i had no idea about whose biopic was this. When i saw the very first scene, as kids running around with flames on their heads, i thought it would be some kind of fantasy film.
That was that, in the next minute, it became a different film. For a tale like this it was a great opening scene. A perfect clue for the viewers what’s coming in the latter part of the story.
The film is set in the mid-19th century and focuses on the Brontë siblings’ lives during a crucial period.
With their father, Reverend Patrick Brontë, aging and their troubled brother Branwell succumbing to addiction, the sisters find solace and strength in their literary ambitions. Writing under male pseudonyms, they overcome the rigid expectations of Victorian society to produce some of the greatest novels in English literature, including Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, and The Tenant of Wildfell Hall.
