The story follows Adam (played by Andrew Scott), a lonely screenwriter living in a modern, somewhat sterile apartment in London. Adam’s life takes an unexpected turn when he begins to reconnect with his deceased parents in a mysterious and surreal manner.
When his childhood home is suddenly restored and he encounters his long-ᴅᴇᴀᴅ parents, played by Claire Foy and Jamie Bell, Adam must navigate his feelings of guilt, loss, and emotional longing. At the same time, he begins a tender romantic relationship with Harry (Paul Mescal), a man who has his own scars from the past.
Through these encounters, the film delves deeply into the nature of grief and healing, exploring how the past, no matter how far removed, can still have a profound impact on the present.
