Sadie Sink Joins The MCU As Spider-Woman In Stunning Spider-Man 4 Art

The Marvel Cinematic Universe finds its Spider-Woman through Sadie Sink in new Spider-Man 4 art that brings the iconic heroine to life. While details on the Spider-Man 4 story are still being kept under wraps, recent reports revealed that Sink is set to make her MCU debut in the upcoming Phase 6 movie. The main theories that are floating around currently are that Sink is either playing X-Men’s Jean Grey or Mary Jane Watson, despite Zendaya’s MJ already existing in the MCU.

However, fans are still also speculating about other characters that Sink could be portraying in Spider-Man 4, as Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have yet to comment on her casting reports. In the meantime, the talented artist Arifinity has a different idea about who the Stranger Things alum may be playing in the film, as they shared new Spider-Man 4 art pitching Sink as the Spider-Woman version of Gwen Stacy. Check it out below:

To this point, Gwen has only appeared in live-action through Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man movie franchise, where she was played by Emma Stone in both films. While Gwen has yet to join the MCU in live-action, she is set to make her debut in the franchise through animation in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2, which is set to premiere in 2026.

What The Sadie Sink As Gwen Stacy Art Means For Spider-Man 4

With Sink’s stardom having been on the rise over the last few years, there is obviously a lot of excitement about her joining Spider-Man 4, with her role seemingly set to be incredibly significant. Seeing artwork already emerge of Sink as Spider-Woman shows not only how much the audience wants to see the actress in Spider-Man 4, but also are eager to see the debut of Gwen in the MCU. Given the timing of Gwen’s upcoming animated MCU introduction in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2, it would make sense to then have her Earth-616 counterpart finally pop up in Spider-Man 4.

As Spider-Man 4 will explore Peter now being on his own, following the Spider-Man: No Way Home ending, this would be a unique way to introduce Gwen. Not only would Gwen get a different introduction from Stone’s version of the character, but having her be Spider-Woman could also lean into the multiverse aspect if she were somehow from an alternative Earth rather than being from Earth-616. It would also eliminate the theory that Sink is replacing Zendaya as MJ, allowing the two iconic Spider-Man characters to exist at the same time in live-action.

Our Take On The Sadie Sink Spider-Man 4 Art

Seeing how amazing Sink would look as Spider-Woman, it would be incredible if this is who she actually ends up playing in Spider-Man 4. Having Peter team up with a new Spider-hero, especially if it’s Sink in Spider-Man 4, would also allow his sequel to continue the concept of spider-team-ups after sharing the screen with Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Men in Spider-Man: No Way Home. As Spider-Man 4 filming is set to start in the summer, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures will hopefully have more news to reveal about Sink’s character, as well as other new cast members.
