David Corenswet’s Superman gets help to form the Trinity of the new DC Universe with popular Batman and Wonder Woman fancast actors Jensen Ackles and Alexandra Daddario in stunning DC art. So far, Corenswet’s Man of Steel is the only character of DC’s most famous trio of heroes to have a project ready to debut. James Gunn’s Superman movie flies into theaters in July. As for Batman and Wonder Woman, the Dark Knight will make his live-action DCU debut in the undated The Brave and the Bold Batman film, while Wonder Woman has no set project to debut.
On Instagram, artist @captracc_ imagined what the DCU’s Trinity could look like with Jensen Ackles as Batman and Alexandra Daddario as Wonder Woman alongside David Corenswet’s Superman.

The fan art has the DC trio suiting up in a nod to the first official image released for Gunn’s Superman film, where Corenswet’s Man of Steel was sitting down in an apartment putting on the boots of his Superman suit. Ackles’ Batsuit features a similar design to Superman’s, with many lines breaking the costume apart. Daddario’s Wonder Woman sports her classic look with a skirt. Whether they are cast in future DCU movies remains to be seen.
Could Jensen Ackles & Alexandra Daddario Play The DCU’s Batman And Wonder Woman?
The Actors’ Past Projects Explain How They Fit The Roles
Ackles and Daddario have become very popular picks among fans to play the DCU’s Batman and Wonder Woman. The Boys star is 47, while the former Percy Jackson actress is 38. Despite their age difference, both could fit the DCU. Daddario would be a few years older than Superman actor David Corenswet, which is fine for Wonder Woman, while the older Ackles makes sense for the franchise’s version of Batman. After all, the DCU’s Bruce Wayne will learn he has a son, Damian, in The Brave and the Bold. With Damian and the Bat-Family confirmed, Batman should be older.
The actors have plenty of live-action experience with action-heavy roles and more dramatic acting. Ackles even plays a superhero — though one not on the side of good — in The Boys. With Gunn wanting actors to voice their characters in animation and play them in live-action in the DCU, Ackles and Daddario are fitting choices for Batman and Wonder Woman. The Supernatural star has voiced Batman in many movies in DC’s animated Tomorrowverse franchise. Daddario was also a part of the same universe, where she voiced Lois Lane in multiple projects.
Our Take On Whether Jensen Ackles & Alexandra Daddario Could Play The DCU’s Batman And Wonder Woman
The Duo Would Be Great For The New Franchise
I would love to see Ackles and Daddario as the DCU’s Batman and Wonder Woman. I’m a fan of what Ackles has done with the Dark Knight in animation, and based on his past live-action projects, I’m sure he would perfectly balance Batman’s darker side and the playboy personality Bruce Wayne displays as a cover. As for Daddario, her performance as Annabeth Chase in the Percy Jackson movies makes me think she would be great as Wonder Woman. Her other roles also show she can present a charming and fierce atтιтude that is ideal for Diana Prince in the DCU.
