Daffy Duck Watches Everyone Lose Their Minds In The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie Clip

The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie is a buddy comedy of extraterrestrial proportions, and ScreenRant has a clip from the movie in advance of its theatrical release. The movie centers on Daffy Duck and Porky Pig who, while visiting a local bubble gum factory, uncover a dastardly mind-control plot put into action by aliens. Surprisingly, The Day the Earth Blew Up:A Looney Tunes Movie is the first entirely animated film in Looney Tunes history, making the movie an exciting milestone for Warner Brothers and the franchise.

ScreenRant is happy to present a clip highlighting a key moment in The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie’s story. In it, Daffy Duck realizes something is off in the world around him as chewing gum appears to turn everyone around him into brainwashed zombies. Take a look at the clip above, and get ready to watch The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie in theaters beginning on March 14.

Can The Day The Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie Save Coyote Vs. Acme?

The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie arrives in theaters while the memory of another Looney Tunes movie’s shocking shelving is still fresh in many people’s minds. Coyote vs. Acme was pulled from release to grant Warner Brothers a $30 million tax write-off, even after the movie was finished and supposedly tested very well with audiences. Still, Coyote vs. Acme star Eric Bauza has expressed optimism that a successful release for The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie could encourage WB to reverse their decision.

If that’s the case, the Coyote vs. Acme cast may be encouraged to see early reviews for The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie, which almost unanimously praise the movie’s unrelenting humor and gorgeous animation. TheWrap called the film “the prettiest animated movie Warner Bros. has released since The Iron Giant”, and FandomWire declared it “one of the year’s funniest films.” At least in terms of critical success, it seems as though Warner Bros. has a hit on its hands.

Ultimately, the most important question for Warner Bros. will probably be whether even the funniest Looney Tunes characters can bring audiences to the theater. Even that may not save Coyote vs. Acme (although, fingers crossed), but it would at least open the door for more Looney Tunes stories to get the feature film treatment. And, judging by this movie’s glowing early reviews, that may be very good news for audiences.

The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie hits theaters on March 14.
