New Avengers: Doomsday art imagines Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch making her return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but with a twist. The end of The Multiverse Saga is slowly approaching, as Phase 6 is set to begin this year with several films and TV shows wrapping up Marvel Studios’ major storyline. One of the movies that will be instrumental for Phase 6 is Avengers: Doomsday, which will bring back Robert Downey Jr. into the franchise, but this time as Victor von Doom, a.k.a. Doctor Doom.

While Avengers: Doomsday is set to start production this year, with various cast members coming back, many MCU fans are eagerly waiting to learn who will actually be part of the line-up. The Avengers: Doomsday art depicts Olsen’s Scarlet Witch joining forces with Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom, as well as a twisted version of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange. In addition to this trio, Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby’s new MCU characters, Reed Richards and Sue Storm, also get the spotlight, alongside Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.

What The Avengers: Doomsday Art Means For The MCU

While time will tell which MCU veterans will be part of the Avengers: Doomsday cast, many audience members have made it clear that they want to see Olsen make her way back to the franchise as Scarlet Witch. Following the ending of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, her ending was met with a lot of mixed reactions, as the MCU seemingly killed her off. Olsen has been on record saying she wants to return as Scarlet Witch, and having her back in Avengers: Doomsday would only be fitting, given her role as one of the MCU’s biggest power players.

In fact, a recent development in Marvel Comics has suggested strongly that the MCU’s Scarlet Witch is actually still alive, which would make an appearance in Avengers: Doomsday even more possible. If the TVA ends up playing any role in Avengers: Doomsday, Marvel Studios has the perfect way to bring Wanda into The Multiverse Saga finale. If Doctor Doom were to even have her as an ally, that would raise the stakes even more for Phase 6, as this would be one of the most dangerous alliances in the entire franchise.

Our Take On The Avengers: Doomsday Art

If there is a version of Avengers: Doomsday that gets anywhere near the idea that is being proposed in the fan art, it would definitely set up some fascinating dynamics in both this film and Avengers: Secret Wars. It wouldn’t be shocking if the return of Scarlet Witch was one of the many surprise Avengers: Doomsday casting news that Marvel Studios, as filming is getting closer to starting. Hopefully, in one way or another, Scarlet Witch will have some role to play in either Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars.
