Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Movie Lands U.S Release Date with Epic Trailer

Demon Slayer has just revealed the American release date for the first of the series’ final trilogy of movies, giving fans a firm idea of when they’ll be able to see the film for the first time. The new movie is due in theaters in the US on September 12, 2025.

Demon Slayer has been a hugely successful series, and many fans are dying to see the final arc of the series animated at last. Previously, it was announced that the Japanese release date would be July 18, 2025, leaving international fans waiting to hear more. Now, Crunchyroll has finally confirmed a US release date, and fortunately it won’t be too long of an extra wait before it makes its premiere stateside. The final battle with Muzan Kibutsuji is almost ready to begin, and fans will no doubt be lined up around the block to see this first chapter of the series’ ending.

What Fans Know About the Demon Slayer Movies So Far

The Final Trilogy Adapts the Infinity Castle Arc

Crunchyroll announced on X (Formerly Twitter) that the first of the final trilogy of films, which still doesn’t seem to have an official тιтle, would be premiering in the US on September 12, 2025. The announcement was accompanied by the above trailer, which includes some footage from the final episode of the Demon Slayer anime as well as transitions into the Infinity Castle, which will be the setting for the final battle. It spotlights a number of major characters, not the least of which being Tanjiro, as they’re separated upon entering Muzan’s home base.

The final trilogy of films will consist of not only battles against Muzan, but against many of his toughest demons as well: the upper ranks of the Twelve Kizuki. That includes former Demon Slayers-turned-Demons, Kokushibo and Kaigaku, with the former being hundreds of years old and far more experienced than any living slayer, and the latter having a personal connection to Zenitsu, as he was a pupil of Jigoro alongside him. Fans will also get to see Akaza, the demon responsible for killing Rengoku, face justice.

Demon Slayer’s Movies Can’t Come Soon Enough

The Series’ Finale Could Set New Records for an Anime Movie

While there’s obviously a lot of fan excitement about seeing Demon Slayer‘s story animated to completion, these movies are also exciting in a very different way. With Mugen Train having set box office records for an anime movie just before the COVID-19 pandemic began, there’s a lot of speculation and anticipation as to whether these follow-up films will also be able to set records. With the Mugen Train movie having done a lot of work introducing new fans to Demon Slayer, there’s certainly a wide audience that the films might draw in.

Will Demon Slayer‘s Infinity Castle films be able to surpᴀss Mugen Train and set a new bar for anime movies? It’s hard to say at this point, but fans of Demon Slayer have only a few months left to find out.
